Job Summary:

- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated General Accounting Delivery Manager to lead our accounting and reporting team in delivering high-quality finance and accounting operations.

- This role will focus on service delivery, finance transformation, best practices, stakeholder management, accounting and reporting compliance, and people leadership and development.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Transformation:

- Drive initiatives to yield benefits from Finance Transformation Program to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

- Lead the implementation of Six Sigma projects within the general accounting processes in collaboration with Q&CI team

Best Practices and Group Initiatives:

- Develop and promote best practices implementation within accounting and reporting team to improve process management, effectiveness and efficiency

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of various transformation group initiatives for FAO.



Stakeholder Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with Division controllers, GPO and external stakeholders, including senior management and auditors.

- Develops and maintains Key Performance Indicator with business partners

- Serve as the primary point of contact for accounting and reporting related major escalation, ensuring timely and effective communication.

Accounting & Reporting Compliance:

- Enforces Group Accounting Standards, compliance with organisation's Accounting and Reporting Guidelines, US GAAP and Internal Control over Financial Reporting with the Group Charter

- Monitor changes in ABB Accounting and Reporting Policies and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

People Leadership and Development:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and reporting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

- Ensures (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance or a related field; CA/CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

- Minimum of 18 years of experience in accounting and finance, with a focus on managerial roles.

- Proven experience in finance transformation projects and implementing best practices in accounting.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels

- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of developing and mentoring teams.

Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles US GAAP and financial reporting standards

- Proficiency in SAP and Central Finance (CFIN) on SAP S/4HANA system

- Strong analytical and decision-making skills

- High level of integrity and ethical behavior.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills

- Risk Management and Compliance Awareness
