Delivery head (BI/Data Warehouse/ Data Science)
Will be leading data practice (P&L). Will be responsible and accountable for the full lifecycle delivery management of the businesses enterprise data warehouse and analytics projects.
Responsibilities:
- Fully accountable for delivery of all Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence /analytics projects according to time, quality and budget expectations
- Fully accountable for all client escalations. Must be responsive to customers by leading from the front.
- Strong leadership and management of CoE resources to build and maintain a fully-engaged and highly-performing team
- Fully accountable for setting and delivering to the technology strategic roadmap and associated partnerships
- Be able to manage strategic initiatives and tactical initiatives effectively whilst driving efficiencies.
Essential Skills:
- Solid experience in insurance, retail banking, wealth management, financial services or credit card industry
- Strong experience of leading and managing Data Warehousing/BI/Analytical teams
- Experience of running major Data related projects
- Strong change management experience in Data Warehousing and/or Business Intelligence
Desirable
- Exposure to large scale transformations
- Strong medium-to-large-size cross-functional team management experience
- Industry recognition in Business Intelligence or Data Warehousing / Analytics
- Experience with industry-standard data warehousing solutions
- Experience with Oracle, Microsoft, Microstrategy/Tableau/Qlikview software
- Experience with Hadoop solutions and/or other recent Big Data innovations
Not Desirable attributes
- Pure people manager or administrative management
- Reluctance to lead customer conversations in case of escalations
Responsibilities:
As the Delivery Head of Data Services, you will develop and manage the delivery of global business by building and transforming our capabilities in Data Services to enhance client value creation, creating visionary Intellectual Capital, Attracting and Retaining the talent to meet the business objectives of growth, improving revenue productivity and margins within the overall strategy of the company and transform Data Services into the most respected business transformation unit over next 2 years.
1. Technology and Services Transformation -
- You will lead the transformation strategy for the unit in consultation with Global Industry verticals and Global business unit heads.
2. Data Services Capabilities development -
- You will define the capabilities development approach, process, and transformation suite of offerings. You will use visionary industry knowledge, intellectual capital, and knowledge of emerging trends, market changes and overall Company service offerings. To deliver this you will leverage internal and external CoCs, networks, partnerships and channels and various analysts/ media relationships.
- You will devise and implement effective mechanisms jointly with CoCs to deepen the technology depth. You will work with multiple CoCs and create a culture of knowledge sharing and collaborative expertise building.
- You will guide our solutions and delivery teams in crafting winning solutions for proposals (RFPs and proactive pitches), articulate value proposition and fine tune the overall pricing strategy in collaboration with account teams.
3. Talent Management-
- You will develop the next rung of leadership, lead by example to groom and mentor next generation leaders.
- You will create the strategy for people development, people enablement, and competency development across the group.
- You will ensure robust performance management through timely goal setting and evaluation.

4. Delivery Excellence -
- You will ensure the creation of frameworks for Delivery Excellence, Customer Value Delivery, Technology Expertise, Integrated Knowledge Management, Quality and Productivity Enhancement.
- You will create / adapt Delivery Excellence frameworks with focus on innovative Delivery models and frameworks, tool creation, re-use and continuous capability building to exceed the committed customer value.
- You will work with account teams and other service units to continually introduce new service offerings and solutions.
- You will be fully accountable for delivery of all Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence /analytics projects according to time, quality and budget expectations fully accountable for all client escalations & be responsive to customers by leading from the front.
- You will be responsible and accountable for the full lifecycle delivery management of the businesses enterprise data warehouse and analytics projects.
5. Thought Leadership -
- You will be recognized as a thought leader in the industry as seen by contributions in the form of papers, articles, media mentions and speaking opportunities in various public forums - within the policies of the company.
