Recruiting an experienced data scientist for Delhivery Data Services division.

Our team is a diverse mix of inter-disciplinary experts from backgrounds like : bio-statistics, econometrics, engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, statistics and machine learning, who live and breathe data.

We aim to grow this unit into a holistic think-tank that will employ cutting edge machine learning algorithms, and data-analytics tools on multi-terabyte data warehouses.We aim to leverage our vast on-ground knowledge on logistics, products and customers to improve the online shopping experience for the end consumer.

Desired Skills and Experience

Skills/Background Required –

1. Strong mathematical background and hands-on experience in conducting statistical analysis, development of predictive models.

2. Machine Learning Techniques :

(a) Supervised Learning.

(b) Unsupervised Learning.

(c) Semi-Supervised Learning

Machine learning paradigms:

(a) Decision Trees

(b) Support Vector Machines.

(c) Neural Networks

(d) Ensemble Methods

(e) Bayesian Approach

(f) Logistic Regression

(g) Random Forests

3. Experience with Big Data tools Spark, Hadoop , NoSql.

4. Experience with statistical languages and packages (SAS, R, Matlab etc.)

5. Strong programming skills in C++, Python, and Java.

6. Excellent written and oral communication.

7. Must be able to adapt to a fast changing environment

8. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

Qualification - Ph.D/ Masters in bio-statistics, econometrics, engineering, computer science, physics, applied mathematics, statistics or machine learning .
