Based in Gurgaon and Patna, DeHaat was founded in 2012 by alumni of IIT Delhi, IIT Kharagpur, IIM Ahmedabad, and other premier institutions. Currently the DeHaat platform supports over 400,000 farmers across Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, WB, MP and Rajasthan, bringing them 500+ agri input SKUs, exhaustive advisory content for major crops, and 100+ commodity bulk buyers after they harvest.
Scope:
Develop and Lead a business development and sales team for designing innovative and new strategies for a basket of agri commodities in a competitive commodity business category. The position entails a multi-pronged and pragmatic approach in terms of building the client base and sales.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Build the client base across agri commodity industry , processors, traders , exporters , E Commerce players across India
- Designing company's approach towards various category of commodity clients
- Responsible for the design and execution of marketing strategies. Innovations, designing, and rolling-out new products.
- Offering innovative solutions to our commodity clients preferably as bundled products
- Work out strategy to approach relevant decision makers for sales conversion
- Commodity portfolio analysis, market mapping - consumer, competition, pricing, channels, sourcing, etc. aimed at growing our market share
- Contributing towards Product feature's enhancements
- Commodity solution positioning and communication, media and promotion strategies and roll-out.
- Tactical campaigns and managing/supporting the implementation.
- Market research through various means - formal and informal. Keeping in touch with ground realities through structured feedback from consumers, trade and sales teams
- Responsible for online sales, should ideally have multi category platform experience
- Lead the efforts of digital marketing and CRM: customer acquisition and retention, Performance marketing of all digital channels
- Regular reporting to the senior management and interaction with other stakeholders for inputs, approvals, and execution support.
- Team management and mentoring to optimize results and learning.
Desired Profile :
1. MBA/PGDM from leading institutes.
2. Post qualification work experience of 10-12 years in the Agri Commodity industry.
3. Past/present experience should comprise of Marketing team leadership,
4. Should have knowledge/experience of sales of different Commodities to market segments, competition, pricing, distribution, and sales strategies.
5. Understanding of present and future trends relevant to redeveloping current products and innovating for new ones.
