Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering team in Gift City, Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage and inspire a team of 30-40 engineers. This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies to support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership and Management: Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering team, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.

- Technical Oversight: Oversee the design, development, and implementation of software solutions, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.

- Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, and collaboration within the engineering team.

- Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including Product Management, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure alignment and support for engineering initiatives.

- Innovation: Drive innovation and the adoption of new technologies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.

- Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain best practices for software development, testing, and deployment.

- Line Management: Directly manage and mentor a team of 30-40 engineers, providing guidance, performance feedback, and career development support.

- Resource Allocation: Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize productivity and efficiency.

- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with engineering projects and operations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from IIT/NIT/BITS/IIITs or equivalent college.

- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams.

- Strong technical expertise in software development, architecture, and cloud technologies.

- Hands on experience working with React/NodeJS/Python/Java language.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.

- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
