Role Overview:

- We are seeking an experienced and results-driven AVP - Business Scientist with expertise in financial analytics to lead high-impact projects.

- This role is at the confluence of business, finance, and analytics, focusing on leveraging data to drive decision-making, optimize strategies, and deliver actionable insights. You will play a key role in shaping financial strategies and guiding teams to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Analytics Leadership: Drive the development of advanced financial models and analytics frameworks to address complex business challenges.

2. Strategic Insights: Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights, guiding investment decisions, risk management, and business growth strategies.

3. Solution Development: Lead initiatives to design, build, and implement analytics solutions tailored to client needs in areas such as credit risk, market trends, revenue optimization, and cost management.

4. Team Management: Oversee and mentor a team of financial analysts, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality analysis and reports.

5. Client Collaboration: Engage with clients to understand their financial challenges, define analytics objectives, and deliver impactful solutions.

6. Stakeholder Communication: Present complex financial analysis and recommendations to senior management, clients, and stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.

7. Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to incorporate relevant insights into analytics strategies.

8. Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timely execution.

Educational Background:

- Master's in finance, Business Analytics, or related fields.

- CFA, FRM, or similar certifications are highly desirable.

Experience:

- 7+ years of experience in financial analytics, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), investment research, or similar domains, preferably in the fintech or BFSI sector.

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in financial modelling, scenario analysis, Python, R or Java recommended.

2. Experience with financial tools such as Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar platforms.

3. Advanced skills in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

Analytical Skills:

1. Strong ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and propose actionable recommendations.

2. Knowledge of risk assessment, profitability analysis, and forecasting.

Leadership & Communication:

1. Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and client relationships.

2. Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.

Business Acumen:

1. Solid understanding of financial markets, regulatory frameworks, and economic trends.

2. Proven ability to align analytics with business strategies to drive value creation.
