DealShare has built a new disruptive retail model for India with a focus on the affordability & price component for the mass consumers. It offers high-quality, low-priced essentials coupled with a gamified, fun and virality-driven vernacular shopping experience that makes it easy for first-time internet users to experience online shopping. Founded by Vineet Rao, Sourjyendu Medda, Sankar Bora and Rajat Shikhar in Sept 2018, DealShare provides a sharp and curated assortment at highly competitive prices and has built an innovative community leader driven ultra-low-cost delivery mechanism collectively leading to best-in-class unit economics.
Dealshare has 3 million+ customers across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi NCR with monthly transactions of 1.2 million and Annual GMV Run Rate of $200 million. Our aim is to expand operations to 100 cities across India and reach an annual GMV Run Rate of USD 1 billion by Dec 2021.
Dealshare started in Sept 2018 and had 5000 active customers in the first three months. Today we have 1L+ transactions per day, 1M+ MAU, 1.5L+ new customers per day with a monthly GMV Run Rate of USD 200 million and 50% growth rate MoM.

Position - Head - Customer Acquisition
Responsibilities
The Head - Customer Acquisition is the leader of all customer acquisition efforts for Dealshare. Reporting to the Chief Growth and Marketing Officer, the person in this role will lead a team of high-performance marketers and campaign managers to convert awareness and interest around our brand, into customer acquisition.
Outcomes including first transactions, first transaction revenues and margins. This role will be the owner of customer acquisition goals of the business, across offerings including those we currently offer to customers and any we launch in the future. The person in this role will be a highly analytical and results-oriented leader scaling growth initiatives by working across domains, influencing and leading partners and the Acquisition team to think big and deliver on project roadmaps across paid and owned channels to acquire new customers. A successful candidate for this role will have experience in acquisition marketing - ranging across search marketing, mobile marketing, display advertising, performance marketing, social media, affiliates, and conversion optimization to name a few. This role will also be responsible for setting up new acquisition marketing programs, testing aggressively, and prioritizing initiatives to scale acquisition marketing efforts.
The candidate should have experience leading and developing high-performing teams, an independent, creative problem-solver with great business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously, while managing competing deadlines. The right candidate would be a seasoned marketer with a proven track record of driving adoption of products/services at scale. Dealshare has grown exponentially in India so far and the person in this role will be expected to accelerate growth even more.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Owner of customer acquisition for the business.
- Build long-term strategies for customer acquisition and lead the team in execution over the short/medium term.
-Work closely with internal teams on developing marketing, CX and product roadmaps to make it even more simple and delightful for customers to Dealshare
- Drive an objective and sustained approach to incrementality and acquisition efficiencies.
- Write new playbooks on customer acquisition for the business.
- Own all on-deck acquisition optimization efforts and work closely with product and engagement teams to make it easy for customers to join.
- Work closely with launch marketing and other teams to build the right content targeting framework across customer cohorts to maximize conversion.
- Plan and lead implementation of promotions and other value-perception drivers to trigger customer adoption
- Work with external platforms, agencies and support partners to ensure the right tooling and optimization of Dealshare advertising campaigns.
- Mentor and develop a team of high-performing marketers and campaign managers, agencies etc.
- Deliver customer acquisition outcomes within financial objectives through annual budget preparation and ongoing forecasting and monitoring results
- Drive robust and detailed measurement and reporting processes
- Work closely with Marketing Analytics and Business Intelligence teams to identify and convert data analysis into actionable insights for customer acquisition
Basic Qualification
- Experience driving paid acquisition across mainstream [Facebook, Google etc] channels and non-standard channels e.g. affiliates, partnerships, barters etc.
- Experience presenting metrics and progress to goal with stakeholders
- Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements
- Experience guiding creative input, development and execution from concept to completion
- 7+ years of performance marketing experience
- 15+ years of marketing experience in a consumer-facing business
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Proven track record driving scale adoption of consumer-facing products/services
- Proficiency with analytics, performance monitoring, advertising deployment and attribution tools and ability to do deep data analysis to develop recommendations Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale complex projects with multiple stakeholders with high attention to detail
- Should have managed large-scale budgets to deploy across media on performance marketing outcomes
- Strong leader having managed high-performance teams and collaborating with cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to turn complex data and insights into easily understood data stories
- Highly effective written skills honed to develop thoughtful, strategic and detailed narratives to drive Org. thinking on key customer acquisition topics
- Thriving in Dealshare's Day 1 culture requires a growth mindset, exceptional communication skills, and an innate ability to deal with ambiguity
