Retail Head

Job Description/Desired Profile:

- Solely responsible for the P&L of the retail network, will report directly to the MD of the company

- Rolling out retail network of own stores, Franchisees and Shop-in-Shops for the company- Complete home solutions stores including Furnishing fabric, bed linen, furniture, rugs, wallpapers and accessories

- Will also be responsible for online retailing and e-commerce channel

- Providing strategic direction for the retail arm- Development of annual plans and targets, identification of new areas for expansion, supply chain planning, long term resource planning and channel mix planning

- Managing operational activities of the retail team with respect to supply chain, store operations, purchase, product merchandising and visual merchandising

- Maintaining financial control and profitability- pricing, discount management, cost management, working capital management, etc.

- Development and implementation of best-in-class policies and processes for retail

- Hiring and training of managerial positions for the retail team

- Identifying and closing prime real estate locations for expansion

- Coordination with external agencies for timely completion and hand over of new retail projects

- Developing point of sale marketing and promotion strategies along with the branding team

Education: MBA in Marketing/ Retail

Total experience and Skills required:

- 12 to 15 years of experience in managing and operating retail stores

- Preferably from a creative industry experience (Garments, Fabrics, Furniture, Luxury)

- Experience in Franchisee management and retail real estate acquisition

- Knowledge of supply chain operations

- Decision making ability and strong people management skills
