Strategic Project & Account Manager

Client Handling & Relationship Management (Approx 40%):


- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring satisfaction and long-term partnerships.

- Deeply understand client requirements, business objectives, industry challenges, and align our Data/AI solutions accordingly.

- Address client concerns proactively and maintain a high level of responsiveness.

- Conduct regular client check-ins, status meetings (e.g., weekly/bi-weekly), and potentially quarterly business reviews (QBRs) to ensure alignment and satisfaction.

- Ensure a seamless experience for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Project Management & Execution (Approx 40%):

- Oversee end-to-end project management for assigned client projects, from initiation and planning through execution, monitoring, and closure.

- Define and manage project scope, detailed timelines, key deliverables, and resource allocation in collaboration with technical leads.

- Identify and mitigate risks, resolving roadblocks proactively.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Science, Engineering, Sales & Leadership.

- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and status reports.

Data & AI/ML Acumen (Integrated within AM/PM duties):

- Leverage AI/ML knowledge to guide clients in implementing effective data-driven solutions.

- Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

- Stay updated with AI/ML industry trends and advancements.

- Translate technical insights into actionable business strategies for clients.

Account Growth & Business Development (Approx 10%):

- Actively listen for and identify potential upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts based on evolving client needs.

- Collaborate with the Sales team to develop proposals and statements of work (SOWs) for new projects or phases with existing clients.

- Monitor account performance and client satisfaction, taking corrective actions when needed.

Documentation & Reporting (Approx 10%):

- Maintain detailed records of client interactions, project progress, and outcomes.

- Prepare insightful reports and presentations for both clients and internal stakeholders.

- Ensure transparent and structured communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Competencies We Are Looking For:

Technical & Domain Acumen:

- AI/ML Fundamentals: Sufficient understanding of machine learning concepts, data pipelines, model lifecycle, and common AI applications (including Generative AI) to facilitate discussions, understand project scope, and communicate effectively with clients and technical teams. (You are not expected to build models).

- Data Analysis & Visualization: Ability to interpret data, dashboards, and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or similar, to understand project progress, outcomes, and client insights.

- Cloud & Infrastructure Awareness: Basic awareness of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP preferred) and how they support AI/ML project deployment and infrastructure, enabling informed discussions.

Project Management:

- Agile & Scrum Methodologies: Practical experience applying Agile frameworks, managing sprint cycles, and utilizing related tools (e.g.Zoho Projects, Zoho Sprints, JIRA, etc).

- Technical Documentation: Ability to create clear, concise, and organized documentation for project plans, status updates, client interactions, and requirements.

- Risk & Change Management: Proactive identification and mitigation of project risks; structured management of scope changes.

- Resource & Budget Awareness: Understanding of resource allocation principles and experience tracking project effort (budget management experience is a plus).

Client & Business Acumen:

- Client Relationship Management: Proven ability to build rapport, trust, and long-term strategic relationships with clients; strong understanding of client needs and expectation management.

- Customer Experience Management: A mindset focused on delivering exceptional client satisfaction and ensuring a positive journey throughout the engagement.

- Business Development & Strategy: Ability to identify opportunities for account growth and contribute to strategic account planning.

- Negotiation & Contract Awareness: Comfort discussing scope, timelines, and service agreements; experience with contract renewals is a plus.
