Data Scientist - Risk Analytics - Advanced Analytics Team

As a Data Scientist in their advanced analytics team, you will be solving complex analytical problems turning data into actionable insight that is pivotal to business strategy.

This lead role will involve working closely with senior stakeholders and the Head of Analytics to devise strategy as well as remaining hands-on to apply machine learning methodologies to their large sets of customer and transaction data. The customer is at the heart of everything they do and so gaining clear, actionable insight is key for the continuing success of the business.

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience :

- Experienced in working with large volumes of customer, transaction and loyalty data.

- Educated to M.Sc. or ideally Ph.D. level in a quantitative subject such as Mathematics, Statistics or Sciences.

- Proven experience in a data science role within clear commercial change achieved

- Strong machine learning experience, comfortable working hands-on day to day

- Strong algorithmic development experience, comfortable working hands-on

- Proven expert in the use of R, Python or SAS to work with large data sets (millions of rows)

- Strong communicator
