Data Scientist - Payments Consulting Firm - MENA Region - Contractual

About:

- Our Client is a leading payments and consulting firm and they are seeking Data Scientists to develop and validate predictive models using machine learning techniques for one of their clients which is a bank.

- The role involves working with cross-functional teams to develop select use cases.

What you will be doing:

- Develop, and assist in implementation of predictive models using machine learning techniques for various business needs, such as pro-active retention, finding hidden affluent customers, customer segmentation, and identifying target segments for below the line marketing campaigns

- Lead end-to-end data science project from data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development and validation

- Manage end-to-end data science projects, including problem definition

- Collaborate with Client internal stakeholders to define project scope, deliverables, and timelines

- Work closely with Data Engineering teams to establish data pipelines and infrastructure for efficient model development and deployment

- Communicate insights and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders through visualizations, presentations, and reports

- Actively and efficiently liaison with the payment network's teams

- Monitoring and ongoing analysis of progress

- Provide comprehensive model documentation at the end of the project and plan project handover initiatives

Your Background:

- At least 4 years' hands-on Data Science experience, specialising in predictive modelling and machine learning within the financial services sector

- Proven track record managing end-to-end data science projects, with the ability to work independently once the scope is defined

- Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills focused on data-driven decision-making

- Skilled in analysing large datasets to identify trends and generate actionable insights

- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders

- Collaborative team player with the ability to influence across functions

- Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field

- Proficient in SAS, SAS EM, and Python

This opportunity will be initially on a contract for 12 months with the client. The consultant will be required to relocate to Jeddah for this role.
