Job Overview (Briefly describe the purpose of job in no more than 2-3 sentences.)
- The Data Scientist will be responsible for developing predictive models, creating efficient algorithms to generate insights for business decision support through the Big Data.
- This individual will work closely with the Data visualization and Consumer Insights team to identify, evaluate, design and implement statistical analyses of gathered open source, proprietary, and customer data to create analytic metrics and tools suitable for use in General Mills Consumer Insights / Marketing area.
- Evaluate multiple data sources - Primary research (Concept Testing, Volume Estimation, Brand Equity, Customer Satisfaction, etc..) and Syndicated data (POS data, Panel Data, Consumption Data) and synthesize this data to draw detailed analysis and insights.
- Provide the story not just the data
