Data Scientist - Machine Learning/R/Python/Data Science

We are an insurance technology company founded by industry veterans as an endeavor to disrupt the traditional insurance services sector with cutting-edge technologies such as machine learning and cloud-based applications.

The Data Science team focuses on the following data-driven insurance industry use cases including but not limited to:

- Reporting & Business Intelligence on product and wholesaler performance

- Anomaly & Pattern Detection for fraud investigation

- Predictive modelling to forecast future product sales and sales rep performance

The exploratory analysis for product design recommendations

- Calculation of insurance premiums and broker fees

- Text mining to determine policy coverage

Qualifications:

- Masters or Doctorate in a quantitative field (Maths, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering etc.)

- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a data scientist/analytics consultant

- High proficiency in classical statistical and mathematical modeling methods is required

- Experience working with large complex structured and unstructured data sets

- Programming proficiency in at least one statistical tool language such as R or Python

- Proven proficiency in delivering technical results to key stakeholders

- Must be a team player, with good written and verbal English skills

- Possess the ability to think critically and understand business requirements

- Insurance industry experience is a plus but not required

- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
