Job description
- Data analysis and model development for client and cross-industry solutions focused on analytics, statistics, correlation analysis and predictive modelling
- Working with extended teams on identifying industry and/or cross industry analytics approaches toward solution development, especially as "embedded analytics" within clients
- End to end analytics solution responsibilities within the industry or analytics competency areas for development and into production (with the help of a Lead Analytics Architect and additional analytics engineers (developers):
Initial solution definition
Data identification, cleaning, completeness, initial analysis
Correlation, statistics, variable/metric id and development
Predictive toward prescriptive model development
Analytics development lifecycle use - dev, test, prod
- Participate in overall Analytics solutions portfolio prioritization, overall solution strategy, resource alignment on projects, etc.
- Contribute to thought leadership and strategic internal initiatives
- Work across other division technical resources on both pilots and production solutions across broader BI and analytics platforms
- Apprising the stakeholders about project(s) status on a regular basis.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Data understanding and analytics design work done experience across at least two industry areas, especially regarding predictive analytics modeling, such as Banking, Financial Services and Healthcare - or, two other large/complex industry verticals, i.e. Insurance and Communications/Telco
- Prior experience in hands on development of analytical models, including data-driven metric, variable identification, creation and impact/priority development, as input to the model(s)
- Cross-industry analytic modeling experience a plus, i.e. contact center, claims operations and/or fraud, customer satisfaction predictions, etc.
- Able to perform drill down analysis of key business problems, interpret results, generate insight and recommend strategies, into solution development completion
- Thorough knowledge of statistical modeling tools and simulation software
- Strong to expert knowledge of SAS and/or R or similar industry tools - preferably multiple tool experience
- Knowledge of actuarial tools such as Emblem, Moses, Prophet, etc. are desirable but not mandatory
- Self-driven individuals with a strong passion for innovation required
- Strong knowledge of at least one of the complex industry domains with some exposure to a second is highly preferred
- Effective analytical, oral and written communication and presentation skills, including in development of PowerPoint presentations
- Very good interpersonal skills and positive attitude
- Independent and result-driven mindset
- Experience working as part of an onshore/offshore model is preferred
