Data Scientist - Customer Analytics - Payments Consulting Firm - MENA Region - Contractual

Our Client is a leading payments and consulting firm and they are seeking Data Scientists to join their Customer Analytics team for a 12-month extendable project based in Abu Dhabi or work remotely.

This role requires at least 3 years of experience, preferably in the financial services industry, and will focus on developing, testing, and implementing predictive models that drive significant business decisions. The ideal candidate will be adept in statistical analysis, machine learning, and proficient in SAS, Python, R, and Dataiku.

Responsibilities:

Non-technical:

- Communication and Collaboration: Strong communication skills required to present findings clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs.

- Documentation: Document all steps in the model development process thoroughly.

- Industry Awareness: Stay updated with the latest developments in data science and customer analytics within the financial industry.

Technical:

- Statistical Analysis and Machine Learning: Advanced knowledge in creating and implementing predictive models using various statistical and machine learning techniques.

- Programming: Highly proficient in SAS (SAS 9.4) and other data science languages like Python and R.

- Data Management: Experience in using Dataiku and understanding of MLOps on Azure to manage model lifecycle effectively.

- Innovative Analytics: Identify opportunities to innovatively use data and extract actionable insights from complex data sets.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

- Time to Deployment: Efficiency in deploying models to production.

- Model Accuracy: Measured by metrics such as RMSE, MAE for regression tasks.

- Business Impact: Number of business problems addressed and responsiveness to business queries.

- Adoption and Support: Number of departments/business users who have adopted and are supported by the solution.

- Stakeholder Satisfaction: Level of satisfaction among stakeholders with the insights and reports provided.

- Collaboration Effectiveness: Quality of insights resulting from collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Data Security Compliance: Adherence to data security protocols and regulations.

Required Skills and Experience -

- Experience: 3+ years in data science, preferably in the financial industry.

- Expertise: Advanced statistical analysis and machine learning, with a strong ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.

- Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of SAS, Python, R, and experience with Dataiku and Azure MLOps.

This opportunity will be initially on a contract for 11 months with the client. The consultant will be required to relocate to Abu Dhabi for this role.
