Title: Data Scientist - Advanced Analytics Solutions

Education : Phd or Masters in Machine learning or Applied Mathematics or any quantitative discipline

Technologies : Core: R/Python(NumPy, SciPy, SKLearn, etc)/Scala, Zeppelin/Jupyter, Linux

Secondary : SQL, Hive, Pig, HDFS

Experience: 6 to 12 years of total experience. At least two years of industry experience in predictive solutions

Required Skills: - Excellent understanding of machine learning algorithms such as SVM, Anomaly deduction, Neural Networks, PCA, Recommendation Algorithms.

- Knowledge of Statistical modelling and data mining techniques would be a plus

- Knowledge of computer science algorithms in general would be a plus

- Should have successfully worked on production scale predictive and big data solutions

- Must be skilful in feature engineering techniques. Big Data thinking is essential

- Must be proficient in one or R/Python/Scala on Linux.

- Exposure to Big data platforms such as Spark, Hadoop, Mahout, ML Libraries is essential

- Experience with data visualisation tool

- Domain expertise in one or more industry verticals is essential

- Expertise in optimization techniques such LP, Quadratic Programming, etc would be advantage

Responsibilities :

- Works with client to identify the business requirements and the expected outcome

- Collaborates with client subject matter experts to select the relevant sources of information

- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

- Makes strategic recommendations on data collection

- Selecting features and employs the appropriate algorithm to discover patterns

- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

- Develops innovative and effective approaches to solve client's analytics problems and communicates results and methodologies

- Presents and depicts the rationale of their findings in easy to understand terms for the business

- Provides business metrics for the overall project to show improvements

- Leads the design and enhancement of algorithms
