Data Scientist

A leading IT organization is hiring for the undermentioned role:

Role: Data Scientist

Location : Bangalore

Key Qualification:

Must have degree qualified in applied statistics, mathematics or other quantitative discipline

Key Experience

Must have strong Data Modelling skills with the ability to take large amounts of data and create insightful and meaningful information to be used in business decision making

Must have hands-on experience in Statistical Data Modelling (i.e. Time series, Bayesian Statistics, Linear / Non-linear regression models, clustering technique, etc)

Must have strong technical skills in RDBMS, preferably in MS SQL, MS Excel and MS Access

Must have practical knowledge of R programming

Must have exposure to large RDBMS, generating queries to gather and more importantly manipulate data for analysis

Must have excellent communication skills, ability to communicate statistical data to non-experts

Must have experience in reporting and building reports and insights to drive business decision making

Must be able to travel within AOA

Desirable Experience

Experience in recommender system is desirable

Experience in SAS, SPSS and SAP, Business Object is desirable

Finally the location of the resource would be offshore to start with and travel to necessary market sites for helping us with the project execution phase.
