Data Science Trainer

Job Overview:

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Teaching and Mentoring B2B learners

- Challenge the students to take up unsolved problems or complex problems and work towards developing solutions.

- Imparting technical education to the students, through structured NIIT curriculum and through Project Based Learning.

- Conducting mentoring sessions as per the course/program milestone/learning plan.

- Ensuring fair conduct of appraisals and student performance.

- Accurate and timely updation of student data with records of education delivery.

- Engaging students for peer learning and resolving challenges while achieving their tasks.

Education Qualifications :

- Mandatory Graduates / Engineering any discipline with necessary technical skills

Technical Skills

- Mandatory - Experience in data mining and ETL operations

- Understanding of machine-learning algorithms mainly in areas of regression, classification and clustering

- Knowledge of R, SQL and Python; familiarity with Scala, Knowledge of Java is a plus

- Knowledge of Python base packages as Numpy, Pandas, Scikit learn, Seaborn & MatplotLib

- Experience using business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) and data frameworks (e.g. Hadoop, Spark)

- AWS knowledge especially with data and ML stack is a plus

- High proficiency with standard database skills (e.g., SQL), data preparation, cleaning, and wrangling/munging.

- Sound foundation and advanced level understanding of Hadoop, Spark, Statistics, R Programming, SQL, Python, Machine Learning

- Optional Understanding with deep learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, pyTorch)

Behavioural/Soft Skills

- Ability to deliver statistical reasoning and data science to both experts and non-experts.

- Sound understanding of how to evaluate the conceptual understanding and implementation of various data science concepts

- Experience delivering data science programs and materials to clients through instructor-led classroom presentation and webinars for virtual classrooms.

Experience :

Minimum

1. Candidate should have over 10 years of experience mainly in areas of data/databases/ETL tools. The role requires the candidate to deliver training in traditional databases like SQL and modern No SQL databases as MongoDB.

2. The candidate should know Python programming as a mandatory skill and be able to ingest, extract, modify and engineer data for down stream application like Power BI and Tableau. Knowledge of Python packages as Numpy, Pandas is mandatory. Data visualization skill is good to have and not mandatory.

3. Candidate should be willing to pick up Big data stack of Spark and HDFS or should have some basic understanding on big data stack.

4. Good communication skills, documenting skills for technical work and able to create courses based on defined pedagogy on above areas and deliver.

5. (Optional): Good to have: Data science basics, Knowledge of data handling in one hyper scaler like AWS Or Azure Or GCP
