Data Manager - IT

Data Manager role :

- Company's eCommerce is seeking a passionate and talented Data Manager who has experience building innovative & high volume applications. This is a high visibility team where you will get a chance to make a positive impact on customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities :

As part of the team :

- You will be responsible for the structure and strategy of the Data and Visualization team.

- You'll engage stakeholders across location in product and technology to define and deliver our next generation data-driven product/feature

- Channelize incoming data to be able to harness the potential in future

- Analyze and manage technology cost drivers to ensure efficient scale and support of the platform.

- You will partner with senior engineers to coach your team through scalable and highly-available technology choices.

- You'll be hands-on as you hire strong team members obsessed with delivering innovations for customers and develop career plans and growth opportunities for your team members.

You will be expected to :

- Inspire confidence, create executive presentations and guide strategic discussions with senior management.

- Understand Machine learning algorithms and integration in big data systems.

- Be a master of Big Data Ecosystem technologies with hands-on experience implementing data ingestion, storage, processing and publishing solutions

- Possess expertise in open source streaming products, Microservices and Message Oriented Middleware, Stream processing & Master Data Management

- Have extensive experience running enterprise data development teams including deep knowledge of data movement, ETL/ELT, RDBMS, MDM, HDFS, NoSQL, Graph database, PostgresQL, messaging, API and in-memory technologies.

- Having experience with Cassandra, Kafka, Hadoop, Spark would be preferred.

- Lead a team of engineers and be responsible for the delivery from the team.

- Participate, sharing knowledge and collaborating with engineers, specifically attending and/or presenting at internal knowledge forums, community events

Basic Qualifications :

- Bachelors / Master's Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics or related field in a reputed institution

- 10+ years professional experience in hands-on data technology delivery with most of them from a product company

- Leadership skills & Strong execution skills in an extremely fast-paced environment using agile methodologies.
