Data Governance Specialist - Consulting Firm - Contractual

Our client is a prominent Consulting firm in the MENA region and they are seeking a Data Management/ BCBS 239 specialist for a 6 months contractual role. Depending on the performance of the contracted candidate it might get extended. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and is an exciting opportunity to work on a critical project in their Financial Services - Risk Management practice. The successful candidate will work in a client-facing role, advising client on Data related matters.

Opportunity Overview: This role is ideal for a candidate skilled in transforming data into actionable insights for a client in the Banking/Technology sector.

What You Will Be Doing?

- Hands-on experience of working on data management, data governance, data quality, and data lineage and integration.

- Develop policies, frameworks and procedures to ensure compliance with the BCBS 239 framework, including data quality, accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.

- Develop and implement a comprehensive BCBS 239 implementation plan that aligns with the organization's risk management framework and business objectives.

- Monitor and report on the progress of the BCBS 239 implementation, including identifying and addressing any issues or risks that arise during the process.

- Developing data architectures including conceptual and logical data models.

- Developing and implementing data quality standards and procedures.

- Conducting regular data quality assessments and designing data quality rules to ensure compliance with established standards.

- Establishing and enforcing data governance policies and procedures.

Your Background

- 7 to 15 years of experience, preferably with leading consulting firms in FS Advisory.

- Essential Skills: One or more of data visualisation tools like Informatica, Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio.

- Programming languages like SQL, R, Python.

- Preferred: Experience in any of DAMA DMBOK, CMMI, Metadata, Data Quality, and Data Lineage frameworks.

- Education: Bachelor's or Master's in Statistics, MIS, Data Analytics, or a related field.

- Certifications like CFE, CPA, ACA, CAMS are advantageous.

- Previous experience of working with Consulting firms or financial institutions on similar projects is a must.

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 6-months contract with a high possibility of conversion into a permanent role. The consultant will be required to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the entire duration of the project.
