Data Governance Lead - Agri Business

Job Description - Responsible for maintaining, implementing and ensuring compliance to the Data Governance strategies, policy, standards and processes to effectively govern data

Client Details :

Our client is an American agribusiness and food company, headquartered in United States. As well as being an international soybean exporter, it is also involved in food processing, grain trading, and fertilizer.

Description :

- Establish and maintain policies and standards for end-to-end data governance

- Define data governance operational processes (e.g., data quality measurement) in accordance with policies and standards, clearly articulating roles and responsibilities

- Monitor and measure compliance to standards and processes

- Lead data domain working sessions by setting the agenda and preparing supporting documents

- Solve cross-BU governance issues and escalate as needed

- Create, manage and facilitate a Data Policy Governance process to identify and understand the critical data issues and ensure data policy enforcement and compliance

- Ensure governance mechanisms are in place to monitor and control access to data

- Conduct training sessions with the data stewards on the policy, standards and processes

- Coordinate with Data Stewards for each domain to achieve defined goals within group data management

- Lead communication on key governance priorities and successes across the enterprise as needed

Profile :

- Highly skilled at facilitation and building consensus among diverse groups of stakeholders

- Demonstrated ability to research, write, and verbally communicate about technical topics for a broad audience

- Track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, planning and managing multiple projects, and delivering measurable results in a fast-paced environment

- Demonstrated understanding of data governance concepts

- Demonstrated partnering skills with both technical and non-technical partners, including senior leadership

- Ability to query and profile data to extract insights

Domain Experience:

- Experience in Agri industry (preferred) and Data Governance (all aspects) in respective function (Industrial/ Supply Chain & Logistics/ Commercial Risk Management)

- Total Experience- 12+ years

Individual Skills:

- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills to understand business partner needs and deliver solutions

- Strong leadership experience in an enterprise or cross-functional role

- Strong project management leadership

- Proven ability to coordinate cross functional teams of business, IT and other key stakeholders
