Job Purpose : The incumbent is responsible to architect scalable big data solutions utilizing on-prem and in cloud technologies. The incumbent will also define &amp; develop roadmaps facilitating key data lake enabled initiatives (i.e. operational, analytical, advanced analytics etc.) Roles &amp; Responsibilities : 1. Coordinate with key business and technology stakeholders to translate business objectives to deliverable solutions 2. Create prioritized roadmap for platform development and create user stories for platform/data engineers to implement. 3. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues to enable understanding of data platform technologies. 4. Help define standards for technical and operational metadata, data administration and data lineage tracking. 5. Develop and maintain data interoperability standards and interfaces. 6. Ensure best practice data security standards are followed. 7. Coach and mentor data lake development team members on technology and architecture. 8. Maintain conceptual and logical data architecture for all data types . 9. Build processes for Data Life Cycle management Functional Area : 1. Have experience in distributed software platforms in Hadoop ecosystem (i.e. Hive, Impala, Kafka, etc.) and / or cloud computing services (i.e. AWS, Azure, etc.) 2. Have experience of technical leadership roles on production software (i.e. apps, enterprise software, BI, etc.), connected to the banking industry
