Data Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases using best practices for database design and normalization.
- Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
- Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving performance issues and tuning SQL queries.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
- Create and maintain data models, data dictionaries, and documentation for the SQL databases.
- Work with the data team to perform data cleansing, data integration, and data transformation tasks.
- Develop insightful and interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI.
- Ensure data security and access controls are implemented to protect sensitive data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and provide technical support to users.
- Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights from the data.
- Participate in data architecture discussions and contribute to the overall data strategy.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SQL and Power BI advancements and best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, statistics, economics or Engineering
- Proven experience as a SQL Developer with a strong understanding of database concepts and SQL programming.
- Experience in database design, data modeling, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Experience working with Power BI to create interactive reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug database-related issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with other BI tools and data visualization technologies is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, statistics, economics or engineering
