Data Analyst - Investment Firm

The Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) technical team, a part of the IT front office strategy tech group in Hyderabad, India, is responsible for delivering end-to-end data and technology solutions for the ABS trading group. IT tools and team support are strongly integrated. The team has a robust project pipeline to improve IT solutions using better tools, data infrastructure, and processes.

We are looking for candidates with keen customer focus and excellent problem- solving and analytical skills to join our ABS technical team. The candidate should be self-motivated, proactive, take end-to-end ownership of data products, and prioritize data quality.

WHAT YOU WILL DO DAY-TODAY:

- Collaborate with business and technology teams to understand data requirements, implement data solutions and documentation, and resolve data issues

- Work with counterparty firms on behalf of the business in acquiring, validating, and loading data

- Act as the single point of contact for the business's data questions

- Explain complex topics in a concise and articulate manner to the business and technology teams

- Data project management including estimation, status reporting, and data documentation

- Take end-to-end ownership of the data project during different phases (from data project initiation to implementation and maintenance)

WHO WE- RE LOOKING FOR:

The ideal candidate should have:

- A B. Tech. or M. Tech. degree

- 1-5 years of experience with any ETL tool (Informatica, Talend, etc.)

- Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills

- Hands on experience with SQL and familiarity with Linux commands

- Proficiency in MS Excel

- Ability to multi-task and work towards tight deadlines

- The aptitude to learn multiple functions and processes quickly

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to compile clear and concise documentation

- Good organizational skills

- Experience with statistical analysis and data validations

- Experience in Python (R is preferred)
