Data Analyst - Contractual

Big 4 is hiring for Data Analyst role for Pune location on contractual basis

1. Analyze and comprehend existing SAP HANA SQL logic and procedures to identify conversion opportunities and optimization strategies for ADH Databricks SPARK SQL.

2. Collaborate with data engineers and architects to design and implement efficient data pipelines in the Databricks platform.

3. Transform SAP HANA SQL queries, views, and stored procedures into ADH Databricks SPARK SQL code while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

4. Leverage expertise in star and snowflake schema structures and data models to optimize data storage and retrieval.

5. Perform performance tuning on SPARK SQL queries, optimize data transformations, and improve query execution times.

6. Design, develop, and maintain data structures and tables in Databricks Delta Lake for optimal storage and querying.

7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective data solutions.

8. Create clear and concise technical documentation for SPARK SQL code, data transformations, and performance enhancements.

9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data processing, performance optimization, and cloud technologies.

Desired Candidate Profile:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus

2. 8 years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role, with a proven track record of SAP HANA to ADH Databricks SPARK SQL migration.

3. Expertise in SAP HANA SQL logic and procedures, with the ability to translate them into efficient ADH Databricks SPARK SQL code.

4. Strong understanding of data models, star and snowflake schema structures, and data normalization/denormalization principles.

5. Proficiency in Apache SPARK, Databricks, and SPARK SQL for data processing, transformation, and performance optimization.

6. Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting SPARK SQL execution bottlenecks.

7. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and their data services.
