Description:

The job holder will be responsible for the production of monthly and quarterly reports supporting the regulatory reporting relating to operations using SAS and the Group’s financial systems including Cobra and Saracen.

The job holder will validate data and contribute to the overall data enhancement activities to ensure the completeness and accuracy of data used to generate risk weighted assets.

- The ability to interpret detailed instructions from the business, then produce SAS queries and analysis that will retrieve the relevant information from large, complicated data stores.

- Then be able to present this information back to the Business that can be readily understood by (Finance) users

Type of Experience

- Data analysis and manipulation, within the context of the SAS application

- At least 2-4 years of proven data analysis and/or MIS experience, or equivalent. Knowledge and understanding of financial services preferred.

- Understanding of the background to Basel 2 AIRB and the resultant data structures

- Data analysis and manipulation, within the context of the SAS, SQL concepts

- Analytical approach to investigating, identifying and resolving data (and other) issues
