Job Purpose: To provide leadership to Sales team, define and execute profitable organic growth strategies for key Operating Companies in India Water Quality platform.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly Leading a team size of 6-10 associates (people managers and individual contributors) who are responsible for driving product commercialization and regional sales.
- Deliver quarterly targets for booking and shipping and grow the water analytics business in India
- Understands the market dynamics and is able to create and deploy strategic initiatives ( Gain Share, Grow the Market, ensure optimal Product /Portfolio mix, improve margins) by understanding the key customers and their buying process and other market imperatives.
- Ensures Sales Funnel Review cadence across the team. Leveraging SFDC as a growth tool will be a key enabler for success in this role.
- Practices and evangelizes Visual Management, Policy Deployment, Problem Solving Process, KPI through the team.
- Provide leadership through effective communication of vision, active coaching and development while comparing sales results to goals and taking appropriate action to correct when necessary.
- Connect with Global sales and product leadership across Op-cos. Conceptualize and implement strategies to realize synergies across Water Quality platform in country
- Ability to size up talent, provide them growth direction and mentoring to grow & develop within the organization.
Eligibility Criteria:
Candidate - must haves-
a. Engineer with > 12 years of overall experience. Min 10 years of commercial experience including 5 years of Sales in Industrial B2B sales in allied sectors like instrumentation, automation, controls, industrial low value ( < $20K) high volume goods through direct sales to end customers .
b. Must have people manager experience of at least 6-10 years with > 5 people team of high experienced professionals.
c. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
d. Experience of working in complex organization with multiple deliverables
e. Work experience with renowned Indian or Foreign MNCs
f. Atleast 2 years experience on renowned CRM system ( SFDC/ Oracle/ SAP or equivalent)
g. Preferably MBA's from tier 1 colleges
Candidate - good to haves-
a. Experience in Instrumentation / analytical equipment sales
c. Experience of handling business > $ 10 M ( depending upon the region)
