Key Responsibilities

- To oversee the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities, including Profit and Loss account, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow management for the Asia office (including India, Singapore and Japan). This would include, managing the company's financial accounts and ensuring timely and accurate completion of the same. Other deliverables within this responsibility would include determining various tax liabilities, accurate provisioning, and payroll and benefit management. The Senior Manager Finance is expected to achieve this with help from the Finance Manager, Finance Associate and an outsourced team of accountants.

- Analyse financial and non-financial data to report on key business indicators and assist management in all strategic and tactical matters to improve business performance for the Asia region.

- Ensure that all statutory and necessary legal compliances for the firm are in order, including clean audits. Dalberg Mumbai is currently subject to a statutory audit, a tax audit and a transfer pricing audit. The Senior Manager Finance is expected to oversee the coordination and activities of independent auditors, ensuring all audit issues are resolved, and all compliance issues are met .Other statutory compliances would include adherence to the Companies Act 2013, Mumbai Shops and Establishment Act and any other applicable statute rules and regulations.

- Closely monitoring profitability of projects, including monitoring rates, utilisation, expenses and project over/underruns.

- Accounts Receivables management, including timely invoicing and regular payment follow-up.

- Accounts Payables management, including timely payments to vendors and their accurate provisioning.

- Internal reporting and liaising with Finance Team members from other Dalberg entities, the Global Shared Services team, accountants and auditors.

- Identifying and recommending entity-level business and financial process improvements.

- Provide the COO with an operating budget and maintain a close view of actual performance versus the budget. Also, constantly explore measures for cost reduction and revenue generation.

- Coordinate with lawyers with regard to the firm's legal requirements, i.e. agreements, contracts, etc.

- Provide support to Management Team /Partners and the consulting team with regard to business development activities, proposals, etc.

- To manage and streamline banking related activities for the firm including, payments (local and international), foreign exchange management, liquidity management and banking related documentation and compliance.

- Help in establishing financial processes and banking operations in new geographies.

- Identifying and tracking financial risk, including quarterly internal / external risk analysis. Also, develop and maintain systems of internal controls to safeguard the financial assets of the organization.

- Managing stakeholder risk through suitable agreements and contracts, and relevant insurance policies.

- Coach the finance team to enable them to work better and more efficiently; also, with regard to raising awareness and knowledge of financial management matters.

Typical Qualifications

- Minimum CA/CS/CFA degree

- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in managing a company's accounts, finance and related activities.

- Strong analytical skills

- Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team

- Experience in working internationally or across borders

- Superior organizational and time management

- Excellent written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 2013 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
