Job Description :

Manufacturing Director shall be reporting directly to the CEO and will be responsible for design and operations of all manufacturing facilities. He must manage several departments such as Production, Quality, Finance, HR and Operations under the roofs of our manufacturing facilities. He shall also define strategy for production to meet quality standards, time constraints and relevant cost objectives.

He will be responsible for interpreting reports from different departments and setting out the best Key Performance Indicators. Formulate and recommend manufacturing policies and programs which guide the organization in maintaining profitability of the manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Manages manufacturing facilities to ensure that production is in a timely and cost effective manner while meeting all quality standards.

- Plans/ Leads projects on new product introductions and new/ additional infrastructure.

- Develops, monitors, and reports on operating costs within functional areas. Alerts management of cost and labor over run, Makes recommendations and implements solutions to problems related to same.

- Manages budget and controls expenses, effectively.

- Support / Promote continuous improvement activities to enhance plant efficiency and ensure the plant is meeting customers' expectations.

- Ensures plant managers and supervisors are adhering to company policy and administering practices in fair and equitable manner

- Hires, trains, develop, and appraise staff effectively. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. Consults with Human Resources as appropriate.

Competencies/ Skills :

- Demonstrated experience of 8 years or more in managing corporate level manufacturing management responsibility

- Possess a broad background in food processing with a wide range of knowledge on manufacturing and production processes/ technologies. Highlights of bakery and meat products is a plus

- Strong problem solving skills, ownership mindset & - design for manufacture- skills
