SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting   Cvent is seeking a Technical Accountant for our Gurgaon office. The person shall be responsible for providing technical accounting guidance and assisting with SEC reporting process and. This requires close collaboration with various functions within Cvent and continuing process improvement within finance function. We have people from various educational backgrounds including, but not limited to Chartered Accountants, MBAs, Commerce and Economic Graduates.   Work Hours:   Hybrid Shift (12:00 PM to 9:30 PM IST) - Should be flexible to work extended shifts and EST timings as per business requirements   Position Duties:  - Provide technical guidance within the various stakeholders in finance department.   - Effectively communicate/update technical accounting topics and recommendations to other members of the finance team as well as other stakeholders  - Prepare technical memos to support conclusions reached on accounting issues and write memos for key and/or significant impact issues  - Assist with preparation and filing of Form 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and related report support  - Prepare required schedules and reports for quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors, the quarterly Audit Committee meetings and other projects  - Assist with the preparation process for the Company's quarterly earnings release and conference call  - Proactively monitor current SEC and U.S. GAAP developments and identify any required changes in external reporting process or accounting policies  - Assist in development of reports for senior management related to the implications of accounting rules as they relate to the Company and its objectives  - Develop relationship with external auditors  - Continuously drive process improvements in accounting processes   Candidate Requirements:  - Qualified Chartered Accountant with 5-6 years of accounting experience preferably with Big 4/SAAS based companies   - CPA qualification would be preferable   - Public company/SEC reporting experience required  - At least 3 years public accounting experience.  - Knowledge of and experience with Regulations S-X, S-K and U.S. GAAP rules and regulations   - Be highly motivated, results oriented, able to perform independently and effectively, with the ability to drive continuous improvement.  - Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)  - Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and able to work well with a team  - Self-starter who is action oriented and possesses a strong sense of urgency  - Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment  - Proficient in Microsoft Office products however strong Excel skills required  - Experience using Microsoft Dynamics (Great Plains) a plus
