CTO/Director Technology/Engineering Manager/Development Manager

Hiring for World Largest E Commerce Organization

The person must be a methodical problem solver who questions current approaches and envisions new solutions. The leader needs to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment. He or she must be technically deep enough to be credible to lead teams of world class software engineers, develop the product vision and high level design and be knowledgeable enough to make the right decisions about technology choices. A strong technical/mathematical orientation is preferred.

Preferred Qualification :

- Professional traits that necessary for all leaders

- Bachelors, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

- -Established skill in leading and executing complex cross-functional projects, with simple and intuitive customer experiences.

- Strong technical credentials, with at least 3-5 years of experience managing software development teams, ideally with some hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience

- Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, JavaScript, C/C++) and open-source technologies (Spring, Hibernate)

- A strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects

- Responsible for the over-all systems development life cycle

- Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments; Led the managers and engineering teams within an Agile/Scrum environment

- Management of departmental resources, staffing, mentoring, and enhancing and maintaining best-of-class global engineering teams

- Work closely with your managers, the engineers, and other engineering managers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach

- Report on status of development, quality, operations, and system performance to senior management

- Develop and grow a highly skilled team of engineers

- Work effectively as a remote site leader who functions in harmony with our Seattle based organization

- Exhibits excellent judgment

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously & to resolve scheduling & other conflicts in order to meet all deadlines.

- A proven track record of delivering quality software products on time and on budget.

- Experience with a variety of development methodologies and mature understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of each.

- Payment transaction processing systems is a strong plus.

- Experience with enterprise software architecture, and development technologies including Java and relational databases

- Solid experience with Agile methods is a plus
