Role Position Name: Channel Engagement Manager
Location: Mumbai
Reporting to: Channel Engagement Head Department: CTMM
1. Principal Accountability:
Were seeking an experienced professional with a minimum of 5-10 years in channel management, preferably within the FMEG/FMCD/FMCG sector. The incumbent in the Channel Engagement team plays a crucial role in supporting the Business teams in their efforts to enhance collaboration with dealers, distributors, and other channel stakeholders. Youll leverage your expertise to gather feedback, create actionable insights, drive engagements leading to growth, and participate in optimizing trade marketing efforts.
2. Key Performance Areas:
A. Functional Aspect:
1. Channel Relationship Management:
- Cultivate strong relationships with channel partners, including dealers, distributors, and retailers.
- Bring on the table innovative ideas for engagement with channel partners.
- Provide channel partners with the necessary tools, resources, and training.
- Collaborate with sales teams to address channel-specific requirements.
2. Channel Engagement & Marketing Calendar Planning:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan monthly, quarterly, and annual calendars.
- Ensure timely execution of engagement activities across BUs.
- Align engagement/promotional efforts with product launches, seasonal trends, and key events.
3. Dealer Management System and Performance Metrics:
- Utilised Dealer Management System (DMS) data, define sales pattern and create programs based on sales to increase partner engagement.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for channel engagement.
- Regularly track and analyze metrics (MIS) related to channel performance.
4. Vendor/Agency Management:
- Evaluate & appoint vendors based on criteria like cost, quality and reliability.
- Relationship management with vendors involves regular communication, trust building and conflict resolution.
5. Competitive Analysis and Market Dynamics:
- Conduct ongoing analysis of competition, competition programs, and market dynamics.

Collaborate closely with sales teams across business units (BUs).
B. Behavioral Aspect:
- Strong interpersonal skills, polite, friendly and diplomatic manner.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good negotiation skills with sound commercial knowledge
- Goal oriented & the ability to generate innovative ideas.
3. Qualification & Experience:
Qualification: Any Graduate with MBA preferable
Experience : 5 to 10 years of experience in channel management, preferably in FMEG, FMCD or FMCG. Job involves outstation travel of 15 days a month.
