Senior Research Analyst Credit Analysis of Corporates or CRE / C&I

Job Description:

Key Roles And Responsibilities:

- Supporting credit risk management teams of global banks in credit risk assessment of (i) corporates, (ii) Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans, and (iii) Commercial and Industrial (C&I) loans. The key activities include research and analysis of the corporate/ CRE/ C&I entity to assess their credit strength.

- Candidates with extensive corporate experience and limited CRE/ C&I experience but willingness to improve CRE/ C&I expertise may also apply.

For corporates:

- Prepare detailed credit risk assessment reports that involve analysis of factors like operating environment, business strength, financial strength, management strategy, market-implied parameters and external support. Prepare / update financial models or financial spreads through a combination of market databases and company filings.

For CRE:

- Source information such as updated operating statements, rent rolls, valuation reports, spread financials in financial spreading tool such as Sageworks, conduct CRE cash flow analysis, credit analysis of the loans and preparing detailed annual and quarterly credit memos, to evaluate borrower's loan repayment ability, covenant monitoring, rent-roll analysis and property valuation.

- Good understanding of tools like CBRE, CoStar, RCA, REIS, Moodys CMM and Knowledge of Intex, Bloomberg will be preferred.

For C&I:

- In addition to the skill-set expectations mentioned in the above points, spread financials (Audit, Business Tax Returns, Personal Tax returns, etc.) in financial spreading tool such as Sageworks and CreditLens, analysis and calculation of qualifying income from various tax documents such as 1040s, Schedule E, 1065, 1120, 1120S, K1, transcripts, etc.

- A good understanding of nCino, Salesforce, RMA reports and Knowledge of Intex, Bloomberg will be preferred.

- Assign credit ratings by using the clients proprietary framework and make subjective adjustments as necessary.

- Should be able to defend his/her views on the covered entity when challenged by senior stakeholders and clients, interact effectively with clients.

- Track market events closely and assess implications on the coverage portfolio. Support project managers on ad hoc projects. Other activities may include preparing industry and country research reports, maintaining and updating financial models and company/industry specific databases and preparing news flows.

- Minimum & Preferred Education: MBA/CA/CFA or equivalent.

- Minimum & Preferred Experience: 3 to 5 years of work experience.

- Mandatory Skills: Report Writing, financial statements, Ratio Analysis, C&I loans.

Location: Gurugram / Chennai / Mumbai / Pune

Education Qualification: Minimum Bachelor degree in Commerce or Finance, however, MBA or equivalent will be preferred.

Experience: 3 to 5 Years
