Job title Senior Research Analyst/Analyst

Location Chennai

Experience - At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.

- Experience in Business Analysis and exposure to IT development will be an added advantage

- Knowledge of regulatory reporting (such as Dodd Frank, Volker, MiFID II, EMIR, etc).

- Excellent analytical skills, with strong prior experience & understanding of risk management processes, platforms and capabilities.

- Excellent knowledge of Foreign Exchange and IR Derivatives products.

- Knowledge of Emerging Markets and their peculiarities, nuances.

- Excellent project management capabilities. Demonstrate expertise on delivering medium-large global projects to traders without time/cost overruns.

- Experience in building excel based pricing models would be a strong plus

Technical skills:

- Expert Excel skills with VBA.

- Knowledge of Java/.NET

- Knowledge of EMS SQL manager, solstice

- Intermediate/Expert on financial market calculations (e.g. FX, interest rates, NPV, Bond Pricing etc.)

- Intermediate/Expert on Agile development platforms. Conversant with the development lifecycle and tools used (e.g. JIRA, Kanban, Scrum boards, etc.)

Job Duties - Work on moving FX and FI Risk globally to new Quants defined model as part of FRTB.

- Define and deliver innovative Risk Management and reporting capabilities for traders.

- The individual will be the interface between business stakeholders and the development team covering all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirement gathering to production rollout.

- The individual will partner with development, business and support teams to build an understanding of the varied and complex business functionality supported by Citigroup financial systems.

- This is a hands-on role that will offer exposure to the full testing life cycle, whilst working closely with the front office business and development teams across the globe.

- Build and maintain application and functional knowledge to show-case system features to user base

- Assist in creating functional enhancement documents, prioritize them with the business, explain them to the development team & then execute User Acceptance Testing scripts to ensure quality delivery of software solution to the business

- Collaborate and partner closely with program managers, development leads, test leads and production support teams to ensure that software is specified and tested to highest quality.

- Second line support (investigation of problems that front-line support cannot resolve)

Key Relationships:

- Close interaction with the Traders in the Hubs and Local Markets globally

- Chennai based development centre

- FX & IR Support teams

- Cross functional team of Operations, Middle Office and other IT personnel

Qualification At least a Bachelor's in either Finance or Engineering from a recognized university with a good academic record.

Additional Qualifications in Banking / Finance / Accounting / Economics preferred
