CRISIL - Research Analyst/Sr Research Analyst - Equity Research - European Banking

Job title : Research Analyst / Senior Research Analyst - Equity Research

Location: Chennai

Experience: 2-3 years

Job Duties:

The OA will support the analyst team in the European Banking sector for a large investment bank

Primary work involves:

- Create, update and maintain sector databases and valuation tables in excel for the client team

- Build financial models and complete ownership of maintaining all models including assisting the team during the earnings season (real-time support)

- Prepare daily sector newsflow and other time-sensitive deliverables for the client team

- Provide initiation support, comprising model building, report writing and research tasks

- Take ownership of the periodical publications and provide timely write-ups on sector trends

- Support the analyst team with data and analysis for various client requests

- Search and aggregation tasks

- Create and update industry marketing presentations as and when required

- Listening to company conference calls and drafting summaries

Qualification: MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (US), CFA (Indian) with prior experience in Equity Research

Skills Required:

- 2-3 years prior experience in equity research in Banking sector

- Possess strong attention to detail

- Should have excellent MS Office skills (including advanced excel)

- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, DataStream

- Excellent financial modelling skills. Should be able to independently create, update and forecast financial models

- Excellent research skills with strong accounting and finance knowledge

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Ability to take complete ownership of work done

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Willingness to work stretched hours, as and when required

- The candidate should be open minded and willing to learn and grow on the role
