- Handles all aspects of client interaction, including directing and coordinating execution of transactions
- Guides analysts in assigned credits within a portfolio of assigned entities including highly complex situations, data, and information, assesses financial projections and supports difficult analytical situations
- Manages the support provided to the credit rating process for a portfolio ratings team in an assigned industry/sector, which are typically complex in nature and may have high cross industry considerations
- Ensures that analytical guidelines, quality standards, procedures and policies established are adhered to within the team
- Maintains the integrity of internal systems that support the rating process and champions continuous improvement efforts including the introduction of new tools, models, and processes to deliver quality outcomes
- Contributes to business activity including developing knowledge and identifying opportunities for the firm or its clients
- Helps in determining department strategy and priorities, champions and supports organization decisions and business strategies in a credible way
- Guides senior analysts for a complex entity or complicated transactions, supporting primary analysts view in rating committees as an observer and preparing material for ratings publication
- Manages the work of a team (staff, resources, quality, etc- ) and ensures the quality of their work.
- Exhibits a comprehensive understanding of all major elements of analytical business management and maintains an understanding of industry trends and issues - Maybe the key contact with clients
- Sets and maintains performance standards; ensures maintenance of high-quality ratings, compliance, and expertise within team; maintains the integrity of internal systems that support the rating process
- Under general guidelines and a large degree of independence, has the ability to extract analysis from team on unique, non-routine analytical or business problems in a timely and insightful manner but requires management oversight on most complicated issues/situations
- Provides day-to-day guidance and leadership to analytical staff; effectively applies analytical business knowledge in dealing with all levels of management, clients, and staff and ensures the highest level of service is provided to external and internal customers
- Manages large teams in a formal team structure (approximately 2-5 people across offices/countries) with a strong focus on analytical talent management
- Supports the efficient and effective publication of quality and accurate analytical materials through effective staffing (Identifying, hiring, developing, motivating, and retaining analytical talent)
- 6-8 years in financial services
- Strong Project Management experience
- Preferably experience of managing teams or mentoring atleast 2-3 juniors within the Banking/Financial Institutions sectors
