Manager - Climate Risk (Agriculture)


Location: Gurugram / Mumbai


The recruit will be responsible for advisory services in the Sustainability domain pertaining to climate risk for agriculture. Candidate should have experience of working with companies in the area of climate change on agricultural aspects. Candidates with a background in consulting would be preferred for the position.


Job requirements:


- The candidate should be well versed with the Climate risk pertaining to agricultural sector with demonstrated experience of working with clients in order to facilitate business decisions.


- Good understanding of climate risk standards and key issues impacting agricultural sector.


- Understanding of climate hazards such as flood, cyclone, drought, water stress, extreme temperature etc.


- Computation of impact of climate hazards on yield of various crops across geographies.


- Understand modelling and scenarios such as RCPs, SSPs and NGFS scenarios.


- Understanding of agricultural sector- seasons, crops, cultivation and harvesting practices, etc.


- Understanding of supply chain of agriculture sector- farmers, processors, aggregators, mandis, etc.


- Engage with regulators and partners for creating value and alignment with strategic goals.


- Ability to deliver high impact presentations to clients and internal committees.


- Develop proposals and support in business development activities.


- Participation in seminars/conferences and writing articles etc. to showcase thought leadership.


- Travel to client sites as per need and requirement.


Experience - At least 6-9 years in climate related aspects of agriculture.


Qualification - Postgraduate


Skills:


- Ability to think out of the box and come out with innovative solutions/ideas


- Ability to structure and write high-quality reports


- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills


- Positive attitude and ability to work well with peers and reportees within tight deadlines.


- Collaboration with other internal teams focused on ESG and sustainability.
