CRISIL - Financial Editor

Job Duties :

- To edit, rewrite and restructure a variety of financial research reports such as sector notes, company profiles, conference snippets, investor presentations, analyst bio, pitch books, etc.

- To plug lapses in terms of grammar, spelling and punctuation, ensure reports conform to in-house or clients- style requirements, clear redundancies, rewrite ambiguous/unclear text, ensure that there is a logical flow of ideas and consistency in thought, and if needed rewrite text to ensure overall coherence

- To take care of the basic level formatting in the report being edited

- Perform various other tasks to ensure seamless and uninterrupted editorial support

Qualification :

A post graduate (in finance or English). Additional degree/diploma in journalism or Mass Communication will be preferred

Skills Required :

- Strong editing skills with good knowledge of grammar, syntax and structure

- Good judgment as to what to edit and what to query

- Familiarity with financial terms will be preferred

- Good interpersonal / client management skills

- Ability to work unsupervised and deliver within tight deadlines

- Excellent attention to detail; Should be able to do basic level of formatting

- Should have a basic understanding of the workflow of the Research business and the fitment of Editors in the whole scheme of things

- Ready to work in various shifts starting from 7am and last shift ending at 12:30am
