Job title: Research Analyst - Thematic Research

Job Duties

- The OA will support the analyst team in the US Oil & Gas sector

Primary work involves:

- Create, update and maintain proprietary industry and company databases and valuation tables in excel for the client team

- Build financial models and complete ownership of maintaining all models including assisting the team during the earnings season (real-time support)

- Carry out scenario and sensitivity analysis to analyse impact of key sector drivers on the company financials and valuation.

- Write earnings review note for covered companies

- Take ownership of the weekly publications

- Support the analyst team with data and analysis for various client requests

- Search and aggregation tasks

- Create and update industry marketing presentations as and when required

Qualification: MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (US), CFA (Indian) with prior experience in Financial Research

Skills Required

- 1-3 years prior experience in equity research, preferably in Oil & Gas sector

- Possess strong attention to detail

- Should have excellent MS Excel skills

- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, DataStream

- Excellent financial modelling skills. Should be able to independently create and maintain financial models

- Excellent research skills with strong accounting and finance knowledge

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Ability to take complete ownership of work done

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Willingness to work stretched hours, as and when required

- The candidate should be open minded and willing to learn and grow on the role
