Job title: Research Analyst - Equity Research

Location: Chennai

Job Duties

- The OA will support the analyst in the EMEA Insurance sector for a large investment bank

- End-to-End Earnings support - preview, model updates incl. forecast changes, earnings review report

- Build end to end financial models

- Update and restructure models for earnings and events such as corporate actions & M&A

- Contribute to various publications including thematic notes, initiations and earning notes

- Build and update Sector databases and Valuation tables in Excel

- Provide data and analysis based on various client requests

- Search and Aggregation tasks

- Create marketing presentations and update company specific presentations

Qualification: MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (US), CFA (Indian) with prior experience in Equity Research

Skills Required

- 1-2 years prior experience in equity research, preferably in Banking / Insurance sector

- Excellent financial modelling skills.

- Excellent report writing skills

- Excellent research skills

- Strong accounting and finance knowledge

- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Should have excellent MS Excel skills

- Working knowledge of Bloomberg, DataStream

- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to take complete ownership of work done

- Eagerness to learn

- Good ability to grasp new things and should be proactive

- Macro/VBA skills is a plus
