Position - Director Strategy and New Product Department - SME Ratings Location - Mumbai Role Summary SME Business assess of over 110,000 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in India, we have been able to expand the market for ratings and improved SMEs' access to affordable finance. We also play a key role in evaluating and benchmarking performance of dealers, vendors, customers, franchisees and partners of large corporates. Our evaluations facilitate a 360 degree insight into the financials, management capabilities and business risks of SMEs, which have helped them optimize and improve their operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF STRATEGY AND NEW PRODUCT ROLE This role would be responsible for devising strategy and New product for the MSME portfolio for the wholesale client segment. Strategic: - Develop new and innovative products, rating models for potential sectors in MSME segment - Establish the position as the primary point of contact for developing new product strategies, industry best practices, technological solution development and execution plans. - Lead data and analytical initiatives connecting SMEs, bankers, service providers, government. - Serve as the change agent for the consistent implementation of current and new products and processes. - Design and execute an integrated strategy for retention of existing SME rated customer by any CRAs. Functional: - Ensure the requirement for MSME's are well understood, develop rating model for them which is cost effective and reliable for banker's in credit underwriting process - Ensure the use of appropriate tools and techniques to review / renewal of existing rated clients and develop retention policies / processes - Liaise with Rating team and other related teams, for development and implementation of new products and processes - Market research for understanding the requirement of SME- s, bankers, government agencies, etc and incorporate Team Management: - Lead a team of specialists to ensure effective and efficient use of available resources - Motivate, inspire and coach to ensure the development and growth of team members. - Maintain a culture of integrity, dignity and respect. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS The successful candidate will possess the following personal characteristics: Experience: - Minimum 12 years of experience with reputed bank/NBFC of large size in SME credit underwriting, policy and product development, system development especially in SME segment - Clear understanding of SME customers and rich experience in underwriting / rating and product development in SME segment - Should have at least one stint of developing and implementation of system for MSME's right from putting a BRS document to final implementation - Should have experience in execution and smooth implementation of new products / processes / systems Personal Attributes: - Ability to manage strategic relationships internally and externally, assimilate business environment and spotting opportunities and come with innovative new products and solutions to offer to new clients and retain existing clients - Excellent collaborative skills and leadership through execution - Must possess strong business acumen and logical/critical thought processes. - Outstanding communications, organizational, and execution skills. - Analytical and thorough SME Banker, with good attention to detail.
