Credit Trade Desk Analyst

Job Duties :

- The role requires a sound understanding of the Credit Markets and the ability to liaise with the trading desks to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of tasks / projects identified.

- Support with trade ideas and quick turnaround fundamental credit analysis. Help the trade analyst to engage with clients and traders better.

- Monitor credits on an on-going basis. Build/update credit models including peer analysis, relative value analysis and calculations of key credit quality determinants. Prepare market updates, tear sheets, earning notes and pre-assigned periodicals.

- Analyse the bond prospectus and loan indentures to identify necessary covenants. Provide real-time market linked technical sheets such as bond pricing and CDS, Comp-sheets & comp charts (RV) and macro sheets & charts.

- High analytical skills, problem solving ability, strong written and verbal communication skills is paramount.

Specific responsibilities include :

- Provide high level summaries of credit situations as they evolve - core product output being credit Tear Sheets or Profiles

- Provide high quality analytics around credit situations where a deeper level of understanding is required / for key desk axes / positions

- Perform in-depth analysis of financial statements, company profiling, data mining and analysis, preparation of presentations/reports

Qualification : Bachelor's or equivalent University degree, or equivalent work-related experience.

Skills Required :

- Strong understanding of fundamental credit research, credit products, industry and bond technical - bond pricing, yields, z-spreads etc. with ability to perform RV and generate trade ideas

- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis, accounting standards and credit metrics

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to make quick and independent decisions based on developing credit events and market trends

- Working knowledge of Bloomberg and proficient with Microsoft Office applications

- Able to work independently, proactively and under pressure against multiple deadlines
