Associate Director - Consulting
Sector and business related:
- Ability to promptly assess sector level changes and trends and understanding of inter-linkages with the macro economy
- Ability to predict sector developments and foresee changes /issues impacting the industry
- Flair to get market intelligence and the skill to deliver business and commercial insights to clients
Ability to execute and manage assignments across a range of areas including :
- Business strategy and planning
- Transformation of business and processes
- Market assessment and opportunity identification
- Business/geographical expansion
- Commercial due diligence
- Business plan feasibility
- Competition benchmarking
- Enhancement of operating efficiency
- Credit scorecards
- Implementation of strategy
- Connect with market participants, as required, for obtaining critical information
- Working knowledge of how technology is increasingly being leveraged to deliver business outcomes
- Author and publish articles to showcase thought-leadership and build franchise for the business and represent the business in external forums
- Deliver presentations to clients and internal committees
Business Development :
- Scale up the customised research and advisory/consulting business in BFSI by actively engaging with clients and participating in business development
- Play an active role in achieving quantitative and qualitative targets laid down for the business
- Focus on retaining clients for future through building relationship and assuring quality & timely delivery of assignments
- Making exceptional proposals/pitches along with a strong ability to interpret client needs
Experience:
Work experience of at least 8 years in the India BFSI domain, of which at least 6 years should be in a consulting firm wherein the candidate should have worked on and be centrally involved in driving consulting engagements with banks, HFCs, NBFCs and fintech companies
Business Development :
- Scale up the customised research and advisory/consulting business in BFSI by actively engaging with clients and participating in business development

- Strong understanding of the way in which technology is transforming the BFSI landscape
- Ability to think out of the box and come out with innovative solutions/ideas to complex challenges
- Ability to structure and write high-quality reports and make presentations
- Ability to structure excellent proposals to obtain business
- Excellent oral communication and presentation skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work across teams within tight deadlines
