Job title - Research Analyst - Accounting Research / Data Products Support

Location - Pune

Experience

- 1-3 years- experience

- Good knowledge of SQL and Excel with Macros (VBA programming)

- MBA Finance / Chartered Accountant with strong knowledge of financial statements and accounting concepts with very good communication skills and attention to detail

Job Duties

- Help with collecting data as required, from multiple sources like proprietary databases, websites, reports in various formats etc.

- On the collected data (including the work done by others), perform data quality checks and upload it to the database (MS SQL Server)

- Use queries to extract data from the DB and perform analysis

- Create exhibits (charts, tables etc.) that can be used to present the results of analysis (Excel/VBA)

- Create and maintain comprehensive and easy to use product and process documents

Skills Required

- Strong knowledge of financial statements, accounting concepts & standards

- Collecting large amounts of data from varied sources in tight timelines while maintaining high accuracy

- Strong expertise in using and coding for MS Office tools like Excel (including Pivots), Word, PowerPoint etc.

- Experience in managing large amounts of data using MS SQL Server

- Designing, testing and implementing data validation checks

- Producing well-formatted exhibits like charts and tables, based on the results of analysis, in an efficient and automated manner

- Good analytical, communication and documentation skills
