Credit Suisse - Vice President - Financial Management - Accounting & Review - Group Finance

We Offer :

- Use SME legal entity/product knowledge in combination with Accounting expertise to represent Group Finance in various projects and initiatives.

- Work as Group Finance SME on various Finance Change projects to provide Group Finance business requirements, in line with US GAAP and IFRS accounting rules

- Work closely with Finance Change in posting rules implementation and FT / UAT testing phases, to validate that Change deliveries are in line with accounting requirements

- Liaise with Accounting Policy Group to ensure posting rules requirements are in line with US GAAP, IFRS, Swiss GAAP.

- Serve as a liaison with managers of Finance line functions to identify, define and accurately document accounting/business requirements following CS best practices.

- Serve as an SME for various IB products including derivatives which are complex in nature involving GAAP Interpretation

- Co-ordination with various departments (Finance Change, Accounting Policy, FMAR) to support project implementations and remediation of data quality issues.

- Communicate clearly with all stakeholders and demonstrate an understanding of business processes and related issues.

- Validate that implementation results meet the defined accounting requirements during functional/user acceptance testing.

- Understand the CS Finance architecture and able to co-relate with the business/accounting requirements.

- Develop relationships and work closely with global Group Finance/Change and IT business partners.

You Offer :

- Domain knowledge/experience of Group Finance/Product Control within investment banking - that is, should have been associated with the finance division of an investment bank in some capacity for a minimum of 10 years. MBA or Chartered Accountant with 10+ years of post qualification experience

- An understanding of the various investment bank trading products (equities, fixed income, repos, FX, OTC and exchange traded derivatives, loans, money markets, etc.) and the US GAAP & IFRS accounting related to these products is needed.

- BAU/Finance line experience with Change exposure is strongly preferred.

- Should have previous involvement in functional/UAT testing and should be willing to be involved in functional/UAT testing in this role as well.

- Ability to summarize progress, identify issues, assess impacts to business process owners and clearly communicate topics that require escalation.

- Enjoys working in a global project-driven environment (not a repetitive function with structured procedures) where you operate independently and manage your day.

- Enjoys collaborating with others, developing new processes and ensuring that controls are in place.

- Project management and good presentation skills are definitely going to be needed in the role which would have interaction with many stakeholders

- Influencing skills and the ability to get collective leadership to evolve decision making would be an added advantage
