DEPARTMENTAL OVERVIEW:
Financial Management Accounting & Reporting (FMAR) is a global process-aligned area responsible for the execution of Financial and Management Accounting & Reporting delivery processes in an effective and controlled manner to meet reporting requirements, to quality standards and deadlines.
Process Control as a function is responsible for performance measurement metrics and monitoring ongoing performance in order to bring in efficiency, strengthen the control environment and enhance stakeholder experience.
The aim is to take the function to a level where performance culture is embedded in the DNA of the processes.
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Work with respective Process Owners to improve the health of the process as well as liaison with Central PC team, other Process Controllers within C&R world, Operations Risk Compliance/Management, Internal Audit team, Control & Reporting SOX team etc. across locations and deliver the following responsibilities.
1. Process objectives: Partner with the Process Owner in meeting his/her defined objectives, strategy building for the process and carrying out various projects/initiatives like standardization, automation etc
2. Performance Management (KPI, KRIs etc.)
i. Defining meaningful performance metrics (Daily/monthly) which clearly depicts the health of the process
ii. Monitor performance with the help of regular reporting for metrics and trend analysis
iii. Identify gaps, investigate causes and plan and track the execution of corrective actions with the team and process improvement experts, if required
iv. Manage Governance forums with stakeholders
3. Risk & Controls
i. Monitor the Risk and Control aspects of the process to ensure a strong and efficient control environment
ii. Regularly review the control environment (including control design) and take necessary corrective steps wherever required to plug in the gaps
iii. Ensure closure of all open control matters/Internal Audit matters/Quality Assurance Review observations/Risk Control Self Assessments points within timelines agreed with appropriate remediation to ensure no recurrence of the issue
4. Projects: Regular tracking and ensuring completion of various projects/initiatives as per the defined timelines

1. Understanding of finance process (Financial & Stat. reporting, Financial Systems, Accounting, Consolidation, etc.)

5. Ability & cultural sensitivity to motivate and inspire others
6. Experience of working with remote teams across different cultures
7. Excellent in Microsoft Excel, Power point and Word
