BDC (Mumbai)

Credit Suisse Business Analytics is the company's fifth Business delivery center (BDC) in Mumbai, India. Located in the City Park building in the suburb of Powai, Mumbai, the BDC houses the Knowledge Center teams who work with and support the front office businesses of the Private Bank and Investment Bank. The teams are responsible for a full range of business functions from data gathering to investment analysis and risk and analytics modeling. A range of other functions from across the bank will also be included in the future.

IWM IS&P

Global Research

An exciting journey to join the Private Banking Research group (part of the Investment Strategy and Products division) in Credit Suisse. The group works on fundamental and quantitative research in verticals like Equities, Fixed Income/ Credit, FX, Macro and others and contributes through top-down and bottom-up inputs as part of the Investment life cycle. Investment Strategy and Research publishes periodic investment reports for all these asset classes which are distributed to PB Clients. The team provides active support for the investment decision making by the global Investment Committee.

The role of a FX/Cross asset Analyst and key deliverables include:

I. Domain related

Demonstrable passion and curiosity for FX/Cross-asset markets

Understanding key economic drivers to the relevant investment strategy themes

Providing econometric/quant/event studies analysis for FX/Cross-asset strategy

Building and updating FX scorecards and models relevant for FX/Cross asset strategy

Applying quantitative tools and techniques (e.g. econometrics) to financial and economic data to obtain analytical output, testing hypothesis by applying massive data analysis.

Presenting analysis in the form of written reports, presentations and charts

Review and application of concepts from the latest academic journals and investment research.

II. Functional

Preparing presentations, studies (for internal and end-clients) and contributing to daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly publications.

Generating innovative and successful investment ideas and solutions for clients

Connect and coordinate successfully with on-shore equity and credit analysts.

You offer :

- Advanced Economics/Econometrics/Finance degree from reputed University, with added qualifications like FRM/ CFA preferred.

- Passion for FX and Cross-asset research strategy;

- Minimum 2-4 years of professional experience in FX research/ Cross-asset research/Investment strategy.

Competencies

- Dynamic personality with strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Excellent verbal and written skills with ability to communicate, summarize and discuss investment case succinctly

- Working knowledge of handling data sources like Bloomberg / Datastream

- Should be a quick learner, showing high energy and drive to accomplish results

- Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced and demanding environment

- Ability to build relationships and communicate with global stakeholders

- Work independently and take strong ownership of tasks
