Business Architect- AVP
Roles and Responsibilities
The role is to work with the Business Architecture and Design team assist in the development of a future state model which optimizes regulatory compliance, agility and flexibility, in a controlled, auditable and efficient manner, and where it is clear that CRO have acted as a second line of defense control function
The role will be responsible for defining future state processes, working with the business functions to understand functional capabilities, assisting in running the Design Authority Working Group, maintenance of the Business Architecture & Design SharePoint.
Assists in defining architecture for:
i) Data models across risk and finance
ii) Capital calculations and risk based methodology
iii) Risk reporting
iv) Target Operating model design (people and process)
And has some experience in one or more of the following CRO functions:
i) Market Risk
ii) Credit Risk
iii) Operational Risk
For the specific Function / Capability assist with :
- development of the target operating model
- development of the process model
- partnering with IT to create the logical data model and align this to the TOM
- Identifies, manages and drives design issues to resolution
- Document core current and future business processes
- establishment and implementation of Design Governance
- leading the Design Authority Working Group
- implementation of design change control processes
- support the evolution of the Business Architecture frameworks and models
- agree design principles against which any process or deliverable will be measured
- Partner with IT to ensure the Target IT Architecture is in line with the business TOM
- Partner with IT and Program management to create 3-5 year target implementation roadmap
- Acts as a subject matter expert and as a trusted advisor at the N-2/N-3 level.
- Engage in industry committees/forums, keep abreast of industry trends and share them with team
- Assesses and incorporate the impact of communicated market/industry changes into the Target State Model
- Identifies each Business Process Sponsor/Owner in the Target State Model

- Market Risk
- Credit Risk
- Operational Risk
Any of the following would be advantageous
- Experience in working with Data modellers and process architects
- A Banking and/or Consultancy background
