Job Description

The Accounting Policies projects are driven by changes to US GAAP, CHGAAP and IFRS accounting policies, on account of the following programs :

IFRS 9 Impairment program

- USGAAP Impairment

- CH GAAP Impairment (FINMA)

The projects aim to implement the required system and process changes to enable reporting of the required data for the accounting disclosures published in various financial statements (Credit Suisse Group and multiple standalone subsidiaries and head office reporting).

- To manage and participate in gathering of business requirements, documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for future solutions, where required

- To manage and support preparation of functional specifications and use cases for the delivery of the business requirements

- To manage and support preparation of test plans, test cases, and co-ordination with users and IT during testing phase

- To manage and support the preparation of the documentation and steps for deployment, including user training where required

The AVP - Accounting Policy role is required -

- To work as a project stream lead for one of the work streams of the Accounting Policies project

- To manage and participate in gathering of business requirements, documentation of the business requirements including putting forward recommendations for future solutions, where required

- To manage and support preparation of functional specifications and use cases for the delivery of the business requirements

- To manage and support preparation of test plans, test cases, and co-ordination with users and IT during testing phase

- To manage and support the preparation of the documentation and steps for deployment, including user training where required -

Relevant Work Experience

- Strong experience in accounting and financial reporting in BFSI environment

- Experience working in project environment

- Experience in leading junior resources

- Experience in problem solving in collaboration with end users

- Strong analytical skills

- PeopleSoft GL experience

- Advanced Excel skills

- Advanced Excel skills

- Strong organization skills

- Has initiative and is pro-active

- Good presentation/documentation skills

- Ability to work well under pressure

- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities

- Experience working in global setups

- Flexibility and ability to manage project complexities

Additionally, you offer:
