Our client, a global consulting firm, is actively seeking a Senior Professional in Credit Risk Management for their dynamic team. This role, based on project requirements, involves significant contributions toward developing and enhancing Credit Risk Policies and Procedures across financial institutions. With a project duration poised for immediate impact, the successful candidate will play a key role in advancing the client organization's capabilities in making informed credit risk management decisions, ultimately fostering business growth.
The scope of the project includes a comprehensive assessment of current policies and procedures, the development of a risk appetite framework, the enhancement of credit rating policies and models, and a thorough review of credit portfolio management practices. This position not only demands a profound expertise in credit risk management but also a strategic vision to implement best practices and innovations that no competitors are offering in the market.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conducting current state assessments of policies and procedures, identifying gaps, and developing enhancements.
- Creating and revising Credit Policies, Lending and Monitoring Policies, and related procedural documents.
- Developing and refining the governance framework and authority delegation processes.
- Formulating a Risk Appetite Statement approved by the Board, along with tolerance limits for key risks.
- Leading the development and validation of credit rating models across various portfolio segments.
- Implementing IFRS 9 standards, including the development of PD, LGD, and EAD estimation techniques.
- Designing and implementing risk-based pricing frameworks and stress-testing models.
- Reviewing and developing mechanisms for effective credit portfolio monitoring and control.
- Creating and conducting training workshops for credit risk management.
Your Background
- Experience: Over 10 years of professional experience in financial services advisory or within the credit risk/ERM departments of banks, ideally with leadership roles in consulting firms.
- Education: MBA in Finance, Chartered Accountancy, or Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Certifications like FRM and CFA are highly desirable.
- Skills: Expertise in credit risk management, policy development, risk modeling, and portfolio management. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to lead, mentor, and work collaboratively.
- Personal Attributes: Creative thinker, rigorous analyst, detail-oriented, self-starter, capable of multitasking, and regular engagement in professional development.
Other Important Information
Duration: 6 months, extendable based on project needs and outcomes.
